Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli

KP Sharma Oli is one of Nepal's most prominent political leaders and the current chairman of CPN-UML. He has served as Prime Minister three times (2015-2016, 2018-2021, 2024). Born in Tehrathum district, Oli became involved in communist politics as a young man and was imprisoned for 14 years during the Panchayat era. He is known for his nationalist stance and has been a key figure in Nepali politics for decades. In 2007, he underwent a kidney transplant in Thailand after being diagnosed with kidney failure. His wife Radhika Shakya donated one of her kidneys.
